Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) would not only be aiming for revenge against Gujarat Titans (GT) on 7th May Lucknow (*Sunday) but to prove a point that they are not finished yet after suffering defeat against RCB. LSG’s mentor Gautam Gambhir was quite fumed after the infamous controversy with Virat Kohli. RCB & LSG’s players had to intervene to stop Gautam Gambhir & Virat Kohli.
LSG’s right-arm pacer Naveen-ul-Haq & RCB batter Virat Kohli too were seen in a heated exchange of words while shaking hands. There was absolute chaos at Lucknow’s Ekana Cricket Stadium. BCCI handed a 100% match fine to Virat Kohli & Gautam Gambhir for the code of conduct breach whereas Naveen was fined 50% of his match fees.
It seemed as if it was Virat Kohli vs LSG as the former RCB skipper was constantly guiding the bowlers as defending 131 runs is never easy irrespective of the pitch and it was a complete team effort from the RCB’s bowling unit.
Virat Kohli was seen saying if you give it then you should have the ability to take it. Earlier in the tournament, LSG had defeated RCB at Bengaluru and there were some wild celebrations from LSG’s team members and Gautam Gambhir had done a finger on lips celebration.
IPL 2023 | India National Cricket Team | Chennai Super Kings (CSK) | Delhi Capitals (DC) | Gujarat Titans (GT) | Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) | Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) | Mumbai Indians (MI) | Punjab Kings (PBKS) | Rajasthan Royals (RR) | Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) | SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH)
BCCI must intervene in this controversy as earlier in the 2013 IPL, Virat Kohli & Gautam Gambhir (*playing for KKR) had a similar clash. It would be interesting to see whether LSG & RCB face off in the playoffs in IPL 2023 after this heated battle.
Gautam Gambhir Reacts As Naveen-ul-haq Shares A Cryptic Message On Instagram
Naveen-ul-Haq took to his social media handle and made an indirect remark to Virat Kohli. Gautam Gambhir then replied to his post. It seems that this controversy would be the talking point for a long period of time.
“Treat people the way you want to be treated. Talk to people the way you want to be talked to,” Naveen-ul-Haq captioned the post.
