Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson heaped praise on Suryakumar Yadav and Tim David after the duo helped Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals by 6 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (April 30) in IPL 2023.
Batting first, Rajasthan Royals posted a big total of 212 for 7 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s maiden IPL ton. While none of his teammates managed to score more than 18 runs, Jaiswal stood tall and single-handedly powered his team to a 200-plus total.

We will keep focussing on the process – Sanju Samson on the loss
Speaking after the loss, Sanju Samson began by crediting Suryakumar and David for their impressive displays with the bat. He then explained the reason behind deciding to bat first despite dew being a matter of concern while bowling in the second half of the game.
“In the time-out the way Surya was going. We were talking about fighting it out. David did something very special,” said Sanju Samson.
“It was kind of getting wet. It was bit wet. We had the experience of bowling in these conditions. The way we have been playing. Either we have won or we have come close. Results do come here and there,” added Samson.
Speaking further, Samson made it clear that Rajasthan Royals would not tinker with their process after the bitter loss and would continue to focus on what they can control. He also praised Jaiswal for his fine knock.
