Gujarat Titans won the toss and elected to bowl first in the match. The decision didn’t favor the side as all the MI batters played an attacking brand of cricket, with the No.1 T20I ranked batsman Suryakumar Yadav being the standout performer.
Suryakumar Yadav, who is also known as India’s Mr 360, played one of the greatest IPL innings. He smashed 103 runs off 49 balls, with 11 fours and 6 sixes. He completed his century on the final ball of the innings with a six.

Chasing the humongous 219-run target, Gujarat Titans lost wickets at regular intervals. However, Rashid Khan played a blinder to ensure MI don’t get their big win. He smoked 79* runs off 32 balls, with 3 fours and 10 sixes. Rashid Khan’s sensational batting helped the defending champions avoid a humiliating defeat as they posted 191/8 in the 20 overs and lost by 27 runs.
